Prime Minister Narendra Modi has just finished his trip to United States, but the controversies don’t seem to end.

From the Facebook Tricolour profile picture to the moment Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was recorded wiping his hands after greeting Modi, here are a few issues that are most talked about:

1) Satya Nadella wipes hands after greeting Modi

Whether he was trying to get rid of something or was it sweaty hands, we don’t know. The Microsoft CEO’s reaction of wiping his hands after greeting PM Modi in a handshake has taken the internet by storm. We are hoping he will soon come up with an answer for that.

2) Mr Zuckerberg, don’t steal Modi’s spotlight

Modi’s love for the camera seems hard to be suppressed. In a rather funny moment, he was captured pulling the Facebook CEO away by his arm, after he stood in the way of the camera filming the PM at the Townhall event.

3) Facebook profile picture row

Facebook introduced a tool on its website enabling users to put a Tricolour filter on their profile picture. This was introduced after PM Narendra Modi met with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Objection against this feature broke out among the people, because the source code of this tool filter had the mention of ‘internet.org’ in it, hence, it was seen as an indirect attempt to make people support the movement -- internet.org.

Facebook has come up with a clarification stating that there is “absolutely no connection between updating the profile picture for ‘Digital India’ and ‘internet.org’.

4) Hand sanitisers sent to Zuckerberg to wash off Gujarat riot bloodstains

Activists from a group which identified themselves as Alliance for Justice and Accountability, set up a website called www.zuckwashyourhands.com before Narendra Modi’s visit to the Facebook headquarters.

The website, which boasts of a clean, sleek design, then exhorted people to send Mark Zuckerberg bottles of hand sanitiser Purell, suggesting that the PM’s hands are still tainted from the blood of the Muslims who died in the 2002 riots. If Zuckerberg shakes hands with Modi, the site suggested, he may need a good sanitiser.

5) With love from Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised a few eyebrows when he hugged Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi at the SAP Center in San Jose before he addressed the Indian Diaspora.
