The nation was in mourning on Tuesday after India’s 11th President APJ Abdul Kalam passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest while delivering a speech to IIM students in Shillong.
His mortal remains reached Palam in Delhi on Tuesday where tributes were given by PM Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee, the defence chiefs and other dignitaries.
Amidst long queues of people trying to pay tribute to Kalam, his mortal remains travelled to 10, Rajaji Marg where other top politicians and eminent personalities paid their respects.
