The ten-day-long Ganpati festival culminated on Friday as thousands of devotees immersed idols of Lord Ganesha at various designated spots across the country.
With the easing of COVID-19 related restrictions, after a gap of two years, Ganeshotsav was celebrated with renewed gusto this year.
Ganesha murtis, large and small, were taken for visarjan in processions that were filled with colour, gaiety, song and dance.
Chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya, pudhachya varshi lavkar ya (Hail Lord Ganpati, come back soon next year)' touched the skies as people bid goodbye to the God they had hosted for 10 days.
