PHOTOS: Gujarat puts up posters, flags to welcome China's Xi

On Wednesday afternoon, Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Gujarat for a three-day visit to the country.  Breaking the protocol, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would personally receive Jinping in Ahmedabad as a special gesture. 

To commemorate this special and historic day, Gujarat has put up posters and flags all over the state to welcome the Chinese president.

Tight security arrangements could be seen outside Sabarmati Ashram. President Xi will visit the Ashram and it is expected that Modi and Xi will spend some time during their visit there. 


Another hoarding is displayed in Gujarat to welcome the Chinese president. All over the city of Ahmedabad, posters were put up to welcome the guest. 


Red flags, a symbol of China, was also put up at various locations around the city.
