The Bihar government has submitted the All India Institute of Medical Sciences report on health condition of Rashtriya Janata Dal member Mohammad Shahabuddin to the Patna high court on Wednesday and informed that Shahabuddin would be return to Siwan jail by October 30.

The court last week ordered the state government to submit the AIIMS report on Shahabuddin's health at the next hearing on October 18 after hearing a writ petition in this connection.

The next date of hearing has been set for October 30 by the court.

Earlier the court ordered the state government to take help of the BSNL, MTNL, and National Informatics Center to set up video equipment to conduct video-conferencing of Shahabuddin at the AIIMS.

The court said that since the Bihar government has in the past pleaded that it could not make arrangements for videoconferencing, as it was expensive, it directs Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd and National Informatics Centre to provide all assistance.

The Siwan MP operated upon at AIIMS for a spinal problem early in October. Shahabuddin is facing charges in over 40 criminal cases including murders.
