It was a manic Monday for security forces in Kashmir after Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire at the Line of Control thrice within a few hours and a civilian was injured after militants hurled grenades at two mobile towers.

A Border Security Force trooper was seriously injured when Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in the Hiranagar sector -- third such violation within 24 hours.

The trooper, identified as AK Rabha, was evacuated to a hospital, said a senior BSF officer, adding that the troops had retaliated to the firing.

Earlier in the day around 12.30 am and 6 am, Pakistani troops using automatic weapons and Rocket Projectile Grenades violated the ceasefire at the forward posts in Krishna Ghati sector. However, there was no damage or injuries in the firing.

Meanwhile, in Srinagar, a person was injured when militants attacked two mobile towers.

A senior police officer said militants tossed a grenade inside the compound of a house in Gadoodbagh Habbakadal locality of the city where two mobile towers are located.

This is the latest in attacks on cellular facilities in the capital city after a string of attacks in north Kashmir Sopore, Pattan and Handwara towns that left two persons dead and three others wounded.

A senior official said the injured person, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Ahangar, was shifted to a hospital.

On Saturday, the Jammu and Kashmir police had said that terror group Hizbul Mujhahideen was behind the recent string of attacks on mobile service providers in the Valley.
