Pakistan on Sunday said it did not see any threat to its security from India's test firing of the Agni missile, and urged New Delhi to show flexibility to resume talks with Islamabad.
"Pakistan has no fears from Agni missiles as far as our national and territorial security is concerned...," Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said.
He said Pakistan was not cowed down by the test, adding that "nobody in the world has appreciated India for its missile test."
Urging India to live up to its image as the world's largest democracy, Jamali said it was incumbent on India to exhibit "flexible attitude" on resuming bilateral talks.
"We are ready for talks with India at all times, which we think is the most appropriate way of resolving all outstanding issues," he told the media while attending a meeting of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Q.
Jamali said there were no formal contacts between him and Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, except Vajpayee's congratulatorty message after he took over as prime minister.
