Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that there is a bankruptcy of issues among opposition parties, as they have nothing to say against his government.
"There is a bankruptcy of issues among the opposition parties. They have ruined the nation so much that people are not ready to forgive them," he said, while addressing a rally in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
"The opposition is worried. They go to Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand to keep themselves alive. But they have nothing to say against my government. They are giving the same speeches they used to during the Lok Sabha polls. When people did not listen to them at that time, why will they listen to them now," he asked.
Furthermore, the prime minister said that a strong and stable government has come to power in the country after a gap of 30 years.
"Even though the ground has fallen short of space, I assure you that there is lot of space for you in my heart. After a gap of 30 years, there is a strong and stable government in the country with an absolute majority at the Centre, and Jharkhand has greatly contributed to this," he said.
"Had Jharkhand not given this mandate in the Lok Sabha polls then Delhi would not have got such a strong government. You have given the nation a strong government with an absolute majority. You have to do the same for Jharkhand," he added.
The 15 constituencies going to polls for the fourth phase of assembly elections are -- Madhupur, Deoghar (SC), Bagodar, Jamua (SC), Gandey, Giridih, Dumri, Bokaro, Chandankiyari (SC), Sindri, Nirsa, Dhanbad, Jharia, Tundi and Baghmara.
Meanwhile, 17 constituencies are undergoing polling under the third phase on Tuesday.
The first phase polls for 13 seats on November 25 had witnessed a record 61.92 percent polling whereas the second phase in 20 constituencies across seven Maoist-hit districts too recorded a higher voting percentage of 65.72 percent on December 2.
The last and fifth phase of polling will take place on December 20 and counting of votes will take place on December 23.
