With the state on the boil following a series of killings during clashes between protesters and security forces, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today met Governor N N Vohra and discussed the prevailing security situation.
Omar called on the Governor at the Raj Bhawan this evening and the two discussed various aspects of the security situation in the state particularly in the backdrop of the recent and ongoing developments in the state, an official spokesman said.
At the meeting which lasted about an hour, the Governor and the Chief Minister also reviewed the arrangements made for the coming Amarnath Yatra which is scheduled to commence from Pahalgam and Baltal on July 1.
