National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon will be leaving on a four-day trip to China on Saturday.

During his stay, Menon shall be meeting senior officials of Chinese foreign office.

Diplomatic circles would keenly watch this significant visit as China and Pakistan are on the verge of signing a civilian nuclear deal, something which India is wary off.

China's construction of a new port in Sri Lanka and a dam on the Brahmaputra river has also raised many eyebrows in India. The NSA is expected to convey India's concerns on these issues.
