YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy will be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation for a third day in a row. After being questioned for nearly seven hours on Saturday, the CBI has directed Jagan to be present for questioning on Sunday at 10.30 am.
Jagan, who left the CBI office after today's questioning, told media personnel that he had given certain clarifications to answer the questions related to the illegal assets case that the agency is probing.
"The process went on smoothly. They still have some clarifications to make and hence they have sought my presence tomorrow too," he added.
Meanwhile, anticipating trouble, the Hyderabad police arrested three leaders of Jagan's YSR Congress Party (city unit).
"We have information that some Jagan followers are trying to disrupt peace by burning down buses and hence they had to be taken into preventive custody," said a police official.
The police had also clamped Section 144 related to unlawful assembly of people and that will remain in place till Monday. On Monday, Jagan is scheduled to appear before the CBI court.
The CBI court had on Thursday dismissed Jagan's interim anticipatory bail plea, called for a counter from the CBI and posted the matter for further hearing on May 28.
