After a bitter war of words, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Tuesday struck a conciliatory approach towards H R Bharadwaj, saying he would seek a meeting with the governor once in 15 days. The governor and the chief minister have frequently been at loggerheads over the allegations of corruption against the latter.
"I want a peaceful and harmonious relationship between me and the governor," the CM said on Tuesday.
Bharadwaj had recently claimed that he has a 'list of corrupt' in the state and had handed over a copy of it to the CM. Yeddyurappa, on the other hand, has often spoken out against the governor, alleging that the latter was behaving like a 'Congress agent' and trying to bring down the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state.
Yeddyurappa had even threatened to petition President Pratibha Patil to seek clarification on the role of a governor, But the CM, who has apparently changed his stance, on Tuesday said it would be better if the two shared a peaceful relationship.
"There should be no misunderstandings between the two of us. I am going to meet him on December 31 and will ask him to address the assembly session on January 6," said Yeddyurappa.
