A two-member team of the National Investigation Agency arrived in Kozhikode late Wednesday to conduct probe into the 2006 blast at two bus stations in the city, reportedly masterminded by LeT terror suspect T Nazir.

The team would gather evidence from crime branch Deputy Superintendent of Police D Rajan, who is investigating the case, police said.

Two persons, including a constable were injured in the twin blasts at the two bus stations at Mavoor Road on March 3, 2006.
Nazir and his associate Shafaz were arrested by Bangladesh Rifles and later handed over to the BSF on December 2 last year. Nazir was brought to Bangalore and questioned by police in connection with the blasts in the city in 2008.

On December 9, a special investigation team of the Tamil Nadu police questioned him in connection with the planting of a bomb at the Coimbatore press club in 2002.

He was brought to Kannur on December 11 and taken to Kozhikode and Kochi over the next four days for questioning by another Special Investigation Team, probing terror-related cases in Kerala.
