It’s been six months since Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party was voted to power.

After finishing six months in office, on Thursday, party president Amit Shah released a long list of the achievements of the National Democratic Alliance government. As expected, there was no mention of the Modi government’s inability to push through promised reforms in several sectors, like land and health.

Shah said the Modi-led NDA government had improved the life of the common man and laid the foundation for a stronger India.

Shah said the dispirited Congress party is busy demanding answers from the NDA government when it should look at its six-decade rule that had increased poverty and unemployment.

Here is his progress card:

Taming inflation: Setting up a Rs 500 crore price-stabilisation fund, special courts for speedy decision, in cases of hoarding and black-marketing, rate of inflation at a low, significant reduction in prices of petrol and diesel

Make In India: New ministry to focus on imparting skill development to youth. Make in India campaign to give jobs to “millions of youths”

Black money: First cabinet meeting on May 27 set up an Special Investigation Team on the issue; senior officials sent to Switzerland; 427 Indians with accounts in foreign banks identified, 250 admitted to having such accounts

Lesser GoMs: Ending policy paralysis by doing away with GoMs; PM interacting with secretary-level officers directly for better decision making

Smart cities: Rs 7,060 crore allocated for 100 smart cities; Swachh Bharat or Clean India by 2019; National Judicial Commission for judicial appointments

Curbing corruption: Steps to check corruption, including use of IT and launching of Digital India; government to spend Rs 1 lakh-crore in the next few years

Relaxing I-T for middle class: Income tax limit relaxed for the benefit of middle class'; steps taken for a pollution-free Ganga and Rs 500 crore allocated for protection of indigenous breeds of cattle

Team India: Team India concept implemented by better coordination with state govts during natural calamities, e.g. Centre’s help during cyclone in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh
