Amid clamour to try him for treason, former President Pervez Musharraf who has been living outside Pakistan since mid-April, has said he will return to the country only when conditions are "pleasant".
Musharraf, currently in the US for a lecture tour, said he will return home only under "pleasant conditions". Talking to Geo News channel after offering Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Philadelphia, Musharraf also said he will not retaliate against those who are demanding his trial on charges of treason.

Several cases have been registered against him in courts across the country for his actions during his tenure as president and police in Islamabad have registered a case against him illegally detaining scores of judges during the emergency.
