Ashok Pathak, husband of Rupam Pathak, the school teacher who allegedly killed Bihar's member of legislative assembly Raj Kishore Keshari on Tuesday, has vowed to do everything to ensure justice for his wife.

"I am with my wife Rupam Pathak. There is no question of not supporting her. I will support her bid to get justice," Pathak told rediff.com over the telephone from Imphal, where he works as a school teacher.

Pathak also said that his wife's allegations of sexual exploitation against Kesri last year were not baseless. "Her charges were true because a well educated woman like her will not do such a thing," he said.

He also refuted reports that Rupam was not mentally stable. "She is hundred percent of sound mind," Ashok Pathak said.

"Whether it is legal or financial support, I will be by her side," he said.

Pathak also demanded a high-level probe into the case. "I want an impartial inquiry into it because it is necessary to get her justice," he said.

Pathak said that he will be visit Bihar next week.

Speaking about the murder, he said, "I agree that it was wrong to take the law in her hands but the killing of the MLA by my wife was the action of a helpless woman who has been sexually exploited," he said.

Pathak has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody. Her mother Kumud Mishra has decided to approach the Patna high court to seek justice for her daughter.

Keshari, a four-time MLA, was meeting visitors of his constituency at his Sipahi Tola residence in Purnea on Tuesday morning when Rupam allegedly stabbed him to death.
