Some ministers Monday voiced concern over the deliberations of the Union Cabinet appearing in the media following which all the ministers were counseled not to leak the proceedings.

The virtual gag order was clamped on ministers at the meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, which cleared the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill.

This move comes in the wake of details of the discussions on the Sports Bill appearing in the media widely.

"The matter was raised that Cabinet details are leaked and vested parties selectively leak information to suit their interests," a senior minister said.

Another minister said that such news reports create an impression that the Cabinet was speaking in too many voices.

"There should be one voice of cabinet," the minister said.
