Maoists blew up a middle school and a mobile phone tower in Bihar's Gaya district early on Wednesday, police said.
Maoists
guerrillas used dynamite to blow up the building, which was badly damaged in the blast, police said.
A combing operation has been launched in the area.
The banned Communist Party of India-Maoist called for a 24 hours shutdown in Magadh division which comprises Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada, Jahanabad and Arwal districts.
