Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil has begun his indefinite hunger strike at the Azad Maidan demanding reservation for the Maratha community.
Traffic in Mumbai was disrupted as the protest drew a large number of supporters who gathered to press their long-standing demand for quotas in education and employment.
