Deshmukh agrees to hand over Malegaon blast probe to CBI

Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Thursday assured a delegation of Congress legislators that he would handover the probe of Malegaon blasts to CBI, according to Congress MLA from Kurla, Mohammed Arif Nasim Khan.

Khan said Deshmukh gave the assurance to the delegation, which met him at Vidhan Bhawan office in Nagpur and handed over a memorandum.

Former Minister of State for Home, Kripa Shankar Singh, Jainuddin Jhaveri, Hafiz Bhai, Dr M A Aziz, Abhay Singh Bisen, Rajiv Rajle, Bhai Jagtap and Nitin Raut were among those who met Deshmukh, Khan said in a release.
