Shiv Sena spokesman Rahul Narvekar, who recently withdrew his candidature from the legislative council elections, met Nationalist Congress Party chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar in Mumbai on Sunday morning.
"I am disturbed about the withdrawal issue. I think my party should have clarified about it," Narvekar told PTI, saying that he had withdrawn his candidature after being told to do so by the Sena.
Meanwhile, it is being speculated that Narvekar, who is Nationalist Congress Party leader Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar's son-in-law, is likely to join the NCP soon.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP candidates Hemant Takle, Kiran Pawaskar and Congress leader Narayan Rane are in touch with Narvekar, sources said.
