The second phase of Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for April 9, has just one tainted candidate in the fray. And the allegation against him is quite interesting

The analysis of the 37 candidates done by the Association for Democratic Reforms states that Subu Kechu, an independent candidate from Arunachal West, has declared a case against him in which he allegedly caused a loss of Rs 50.

Besides, 23 out of the 37

candidates are crorepatis.

The Aam Admi Party has three crorepati candidates while the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have 4 and 5 respectively.

The richest candidate is Independent candidate from Shillong, Denis Siangshai who has declared assets worth over Rs 128 crore.

Congress candidate from Shillong and Union minister Vincent H Pala has declared assets worth over Rs 49 crore.

Also, 95 per cent of the candidates in the fray for the second phase are male.
