Top cop had contacts with terror suspects: Kerala CM

Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan in a startling revelation told the media that Inspector General of Police Tomin Thachankery "had made contacts with certain terror suspects while he was in Qatar".

The chief minister said the Central Intelligence Bureau sounded the state chief secretary on this issue. He further said that the government would take stringent action against the erring officer.

Tomin Thachankery is now under suspension following his trip to West Asian countries without the government's consent.
