Kejriwal takes metro to swearing in, security tightened at Kaushambi station

Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal hopped on to the metro on Saturdayfrom Ghaziabad to Ramlila Maidan to take oath as the seventh chief minister of Delhi.

Security was beefed up on Saturday at the Kaushambi metro station in view of Kejriwal's decision

Kejriwal along with Manish Sisodia and other AAP supporters took the train from Kaushambi metro station around 11 am.

Additional security personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force have been deployed at the station. Besides, Uttar Pradesh police personnel have also been deployed around Kaushambi metro station.

"Security has been beefed up at the station. We are maintaining a high vigil ahead of Kejriwal's visit at station," said an official of CISF, who didn't wish to be named.

High-level meetings are going on in which the CISF are constantly reviewing arrangements at the station. The CISF official said that some of its personnel will also travel in the same coach in which Kejriwal will be traveling in order to guard him.

Kejriwal will get off the train at Rajiv Chowk Metro station from he will take the Barakambha-bound metro.

A large number of people have gathered at the Kaushambi metro station to see Kejriwal.

Kejriwal had said on Friday that he will take the metro to Ramlila Maidan to take oath as the Delhi chief minister.
