Following the Cabinet reshuffle in Karnataka, a major revolt has broken in the Bharatiya Janata Party with the powerful Reddy brothers terming Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa a "betrayer''.

While skipping the evening Cabinet meeting, the brothers who earlier almost split the government, said that they would stand by those who have been betrayed.

The brothers -- Janardhan and Karunakar-- said the same persons who have been dropped were the ones who stood by the chief minister when the party was in minority and needed to form the government. They said they would not support Yeddyurappa and will deal with the matter directly by talking to the high command.

Meanwhile, G Shekhar (read what he said) who threatened to commit suicide if axed, said he would not take things lying down. Clearly now leaning towards the Reddy faction, he said it was very sad that he had been betrayed. He, however, did not say anything about the suicide and said he would fight it out.

Meanwhile, the Yeddyurappa said that he will have his way and he did what needed to be done. The chief minister will now meet other senior leaders to diffuse the emerging crisis.
