Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Kanimozhi on Saturday vacated her room in the Tamil Nadu guest house in New Delhi, a special provision given to her as daughter of the former chief minister and DMK chief M Karunanidhi.

Kanimozhi walked out of Tamil Nadu House alone, put her luggage in the car; no Tamil Nadu government employee assisted her. She then drove to 601, Swarnajayanti Apartments -- meant for MPs -- where she has a regular Rajya Sabha accommodation

In the past, at least eight to ten senior officials at the reception counter of the Tamil Nadu

House would render all support -- walk with her up to her car, hold her luggage, open the car doors, put her mobile phone to charging and see her off.

On Saturday, all those courtesies were missing.
