Kalam's poems now in Urdu

An Urdu translation of 17 poems written by President A P J Abdul Kalam was presented to him at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday.

Engineer poet Shakil Shifai, who authored the book titled 'Mera Safar' from the English version of 'My Journey' recited one of the poems of the book in Urdu after presenting it to the President.

He was assisted in the translation work by Professors Qamar Raees, Muzaffar Hanfi, Malikzada Manzoor Ahmad and Mirza Mohd. Arif, all noted poets.

These poets also presented reviews on the book written by them to the President.
