The custody of 26/11 terror attacks key handler Abu Jundal was given on Wednesday to Maharashtra police by a Delhi court for producing him before a court in Greater Mumbai.

Additional Sessions Judge Kaveri Baweja gave Jundal's custody to Maharashtra Police on a warrant issued by a Greater Mumbai court for his production there on November 23.

The Maharashtra police told the court here that it needed him for probe into a case lodged under the Maharashtra Control of Organsied Crime Act and the Explosive Substances Act against him.

"With reference to office letter dated November 21, court has no objection for production of accused in court of Special Judge at Greater Mumbai...for November 23 but it should be ensured that accused be produced before this court on December 13 and on subsequent hearings to be fixed before this court," ASJ Baweja said.

Meanwhile, Fasih Memhmood, a suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorist and an accused in Delhi and Bangalore blasts, was Wednesday brought back to Delhi by the Bangalore police.

Fasih was produced before Additional Sessions Judge Asha Menon who remanded him in judicial custody.

Arrested by the Special Cell on October 22 after his deportation from Saudi Arabia, Fasih was handed over to the Bangalore police on November 1 for his interrogation in the last year's Chinaswamy Stadium blasts case.

Fasih, who hails from Bihar and is a mechanical engineer by profession, is also named in the charge sheet filed against Abu Jundal.
