The Congress said on Sunday that it was not going to form any alternative government in the state as it does not have the sufficient numbers. "We have decided that we will not seek to form a government in Jharkhand. Meanwhile, Home Minister P Chidambaram met Congress President Sonia Gandhi against the backdrop of the political uncertainty in the state which appears headed for another round of President's Rule. Congress spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan had earlier said, "We have been waiting and watching. Congress has never been in a hurry. We are interested in doing what is best for the people there. We are waiting for the report of the Governor. The situation is fluid there."
