Jairam is drafting a new Bill to redress public services grievances and tackle corruption at grassroot levels. A special Union Cabinet meet is expected to approve this draft of the Bill.
The task of preparing the Bill has been entrusted to Ramesh, but will be piloted by V Narayanaswamy the union minister of state in personnel.
Ramesh is likely to get the approval of the Prime Minister's Office before placing it in Parliament by early next week. Three legal luminaries who are colleagues of Ramesh have approved the basic points in the Bill.
The draft bill will handle corruption and keep a check at the lower level of government employees like clerks, tehsildars and block development officers with whom people come to contact in their day-to-day work.

Ramesh stated that he is drawing lessons from the social audit of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employement Guarantee Act where the redressal institution is already in existence.
