US: 6 Indian-Americans to be honoured

Six Indian-American Malayalees and a US citizen will be honoured by an Indian-American organisation in US for their outstanding achievements in their fields of specialisation.

The award ceremony is set for November 11 at the Kerala Center in New York where Vijay Nambiar, Special Advisor to UN secretary general Kofi Annan will be the chief guest.

Those who will be awarded by the Indian American Kerala Cultural and Civic Centre are George Abraham of Houston for community service; Dr T S Dharmarajan of New York for medicine; Samual Easo (Sunil) of New Jersey for mass media; Ajay Menon of Colorado for education; Judge John Pessala of New York for public service; and a special recognition for Prathibha Varkey of Minnesota.
