Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is yet to congratulate Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and refused to say anything on Modi's hat-trick victory on Friday.

Nitish Kumar in his own style downplayed attempt of the mediapersons to know his reaction on Modi's victory.

"If you (mediapersons) are so much keen to know, I will call you separately and will say something on it," Nitish Kumar told newspersons in Patna at an official function when asked for his reaction on Narendra Modi's victory in Gujarat.

A senior Janata Dal-United leader recalled that even Modi had not congratulated Nitish Kumar after the 2010 Bihar assembly poll victory.

Nitish Kumar Thursday also refused to say anything on Modi's victory and promised to say something Friday, but maintained his silence.

A few days ago after BJP ruled out the possibility of Nitish Kumar becoming NDA's PM candidate, he said that he was never a contender for the post and refused to say anything on Narendra Modi as PM candidate. He only smiled leaving everyone to guess.

Nitish Kumar and his party the JD-U had expressed strong reservation for Narendra Modi as PM candidate of the BJP.

Nitish Kumar has claimed earlier that it would not take a minute for his party to break ties with the BJP if the latter projected Modi as its prime ministerial candidate.

Nitish Kumar had earlier objected to his photographs with Narendra Modi in newspaper advertisements during the BJP national executive meeting in Patna in June 2010.
