At least two people were killed and 25 wounded in a gun and grenade attack that rocked the Belgian city of Liege on Tuesday evening. The Belgian media reported that one of the two dead was believed to be the assailant, a man believed to be about 40 years old.

Local media said another attacker had been seized by police. However, there were conflicting reports

on the attackers.

Several men tossed grenades and fired on a crowd at a bus stop in Place Saint Lambert, a busy square, the BBC reports. Witnesses reported four explosions and gunfire.

The police rushed to the scene and sealed off the square. Television images showed blood splattered across the cobblestones, the Guardian reported.

More details awaited
