Ambala: Gohana murder accused surrenders

Rakesh, alias Lara, the main accused in the Baljit Sewach murder case at Gohana, surrendered himself before the Special Central Bureau of Investigations Court at Ambala on Monday.

The main witness of the case, Ashok, recorded his statement before the police that on the day of the incident, August 27, Brijinder and Baljit were talking to each other in front of the Sawan Photo studio.

One Shiv Kumar, alias Kake, came to the studio and asked Baljit for discount on photographs. On this issue, both entered into a quarrel.

After some time, Shiv Kumar along with Rakesh, Biru, Gola and Ponda and 10-12 other accomplices entered the shop and started beating Baljit, who died immediately afterwards.

A murder case was registered in this regard in City Police Station, Gohana. Some other accused are still at large and the investigation in the case is still on, police sources said.
