In a late night development, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat allocated portfolios to all his ministers with Ravi Naik, who was in the race for the chief ministerial post, getting the home ministry.
The file allocating the departments was sent to Governor S C Jamir late Wednesday night. A formal notification is expected on Thursday.
Sources close to Kamat said important portfolios like town and country planning and sports would be kept by the chief minister.
Besides Ravi Naik, who is getting the Home portfolio, Congress veteran Dayanand Narvekar has been given finance and information and technology ministry.
Ramakrishna Dhavalikar of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, an alliance partner, will retain his public works department along with the science and technology ministry.
Vishwajeet Rane, son of Goa Speaker Pratapsingh Rane, an independent legislator was allocated health ministry along with craftsman training department, while Congress legislator Pandurang Madkaikar, has been given transport and social welfare.
NCP legislator Francisco Pacheco has been given tourism and housing ministry.
Jose Philip D'souza, another NCP legislator was given revenue and civil supply ministry.
Power ministry was allocated to Congress legislator Aleixo Sequiera alongwith environment ministry.
Other ministers who have been allocated portfolios include Phillip Neri Rodrigues (water resources and forests), Joaquim Alemao (urban development and fisheries) and Manohar Azgaokar (panchayat and RDA).
