BlackBerry handsets of Husain Haqqani and Mansoor Ijaz, the central characters of the memo scandal, are being examined by forensic experts at the Pakistan High Commission in London to probe their role in the case.
Mansoor Ijaz, the US business tycoon of Pakistan origin, is scheduled to appear before the forensic experts.
However, Husain Haqqani has expressed his lack of confidence in these experts and refused to appear before them, Geo news reported.
Two experts will run forensic tests on the BlackBerry handsets of Mansoor Ijaz and Husain Haqqani.
Earlier, the Judicial Commission probing the memo scam had issued notices to both parties to either appear in person or instruct their representatives to appear before the forensic experts at the High Commission of Pakistan.
In the secret memo, the civilian leadership in Pakistan had purportedly sought help from the US military to prevent a possible coup by the country's military in the aftermath of the American raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
Following the controversy Pakistan's former envoy to the US, Haqqani, was forced to resign after Ijaz claimed he had drafted the memo.
