The Election Commission is likely to revive the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council by Januay 26, 2011 - and give the state government one month's time to elect a 70-member council.
With parliament approving the revival of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council and the Union Ministry of Law giving its consent, it will be a routine matter according to a source in the President's estate.
A presidential notification is now under process from Election Commission- it is all question of time for issuance of orders according to a highly placed sources.
