A moderate intensity earthquake on Saturday shook the Kashmir Valley but there were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage.

"An earthquake of 5.2 magnitude was experienced at 9.46 am in the Kashmir Valley," Aamir Ali, coordinator of the natural disaster management cell, said. He said the epicentre of the tremor was in Hindukush region of Afghanistan.

This is the second tremor to shake the valley this month. On March 12, a moderate intensity quake hit Kashmir.
