An electronic voting machine selected Republican nominee Mitt Romney even when a voter choose incumbent Barack Obama in the just concluded United States presidential poll.

The machine in Pennsylvania was taken out of service after being captured on video changing a vote for Obama into one for Romney, NBC News reported on Wednesday.

The video was first posted on Youtube by user 'centralpavoter'. It shows a voter's finger repeatedly pressing the button for Obama, but a check mark coming up next to Romney's name.

Republicans have also claimed machines have turned Romney votes into Obama ones.
