Christopher Duncan, an impersonator of American rapper Eminem, was jailed for life for the bloody murder of Jagdip Najran, a law student. Judge David Paget, in a London court, said on Monday that Duncan must serve a minimum 25 years but emphasised that he may never be released.

Dressed like Eminem and with the same tattoos, Duncan, 21, had pleaded guilty to the murder on Thursday. He had met 26-year-old Najran at a London karaoke bar last May.

After she accompanied him back to his flat, Duncan battered her on the head with a metal baseball bat. He then stuffed her into a suitcase, which was later found in his bedroom. Investigators believe that Najran may have been alive for at least an hour in that suitcase.

"You have an abnormal and unhealthy interest in violence and in particular, sexual violence towards women. It may be that you pose such a danger to women that it will nver be safe to release you," Judge Paget said to Duncan.

Duncan is now to be questioned in investigations of the murder of American artist Margaret Muller, who was stabbed in 2003. She used to live close to his house in east London.
