The rebel father-son duo of Shanti and Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday launched a virulent attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal, calling it a ‘khap panchayat’ for its action of expelling rebels.

Shanti Bhushan, who was once addressed as the AAP's patron, also compared Kejriwal with Adolf Hitler.

"It’s not AAP, but a Khap panchayat. The khap panchayat has a dictator (Kejriwal) and the panchayat members work as per his order and do his buttering," Prashant said.

Prashant, along with Yogendra Yadav, Ajit Jha and Anand Kumar were expelled from the AAP for ‘gross indiscipline’ and ‘anti-party activities’ late on Monday night.

Prashant also lashed out at the national disciplinary committee members Pankaj Gupta and Ashish Khetan. He also raked up the issue of an alleged ‘planted’ news by the former journalist-turned-politician, which benefitted a firm.

Attacking Kejriwal, Shanti also compared the Delhi chief minister with Hitler. "He should adopt Hitler's dress. Since he has adopted his way of life, then why not wear that dress," Shanti said.

Responding to Khetan's challenge that he will not spare the Bhushans, Shanti challenged him to expose his family.

"Let him expose us. He will get exposed. Our family is most honest family in the country. No one can question our integrity. Neither Prashant Bhushan nor my integrity," Shanti added.

Meanwhile, soon after his expulsion, an upset Yadav said that he felt like he had been thrown out of his own house. Yadav said, “How would you feel if someone drags and throws you out of your own house. I cannot deny that I am not hurt by this decision.”

Late on Monday night, the Aam Aadmi Party’s national disciplinary committee expelled rebel leaders Yogendra Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha for ‘gross indiscipline’ and ‘anti-party activities’.

“I am not surprised as from the past few days the matter was moving in such direction. Though I also cannot deny the fact that I am deeply hurt by it. How would you feel if someone drags and throws you out of your own house,” Yadav was quoted as saying by the media.

When asked about his future and if he would be forming a new party, Yadav responded, “During Swaraj Samvad it was unanimously decided, we will not walk out of AAP, as it is our home. We decided we shall continue to take AAP’s spirit forward, as it’s our duty.”
