Dom's Take: Will it start a second wave?

India's COVID-19 caseload crossed the 82 lakh mark on Sunday, November 1.

Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 infections till date with a cumulative figure of 1,51,4079 as on Monday, November 2.

The suburban trains, considered the lifeline of Mumbai, were resumed for emergency and essential services staff in June.

Dominic Xavier wonders whether with 88% of suburban trains operational in Mumbai -- a mode of transport which has always been overcrowded, with zero possibility of physical distancing -- will lead to a second wave of COVID-19 infections in the city which is still grappling with about a thousand fresh cases each day.
