The Congress leadership speaks with forked tongue.
On Thursday, it said the 'doors' are still open for Sachin Pilot.
Sachin is still a member of the Congress, so what door could the party leadershp be talking about?
Even as conciliatory noises emerged from the central leadership, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot ejected two of Pilot's key supporters from the party amid leaks about Sachin's alleged dealings with the BJP.
Rashid Kidwai, the political commentator who perhaps reads the tea leaves at 24, Akbar Road best, told Syed Firdaus Ashraf/Rediff.com that 'Sachin Pilot is part of a bigger plot', hinting that Sachin -- who turns 43 on September 7 -- could throw his hat in the ring for party president after Sonia Gandhi steps down as interim president next month.
The BJP, of course, has made its desire to grab yet another youthful Congress leader known.
Dominic Xavier offers his take on how Sachin Pilot is keeping everyone guessing about his future move.
