The Delhi Cabinet on Monday gave its go ahead to the formation of a state population commission.
A 19-member body, the commission will be chaired by the chief minister, officials said. The commission, apart from implementing the National Population Policy 2000, will also formulate an independent state population policy.
It will also form policies for checking the inflow of migrants into Delhi.
