In an office in California, massive celebrations broke out when trends predicted that the Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal was set to sweep the Delhi polls.
AAP’s NRI volunteers were all smiles and rapturous merriment broke out in the office with the volunteers calling for parties.
“A great celebration with dinner, music and dancing is in order after the great victory AAP has achieved in Delhi," said an AAP USA member.
“The mood is jubilant and the results are beyond our wildest expectations,” said Bhushan, who was in India during the Lok Sabha elections, and is a chairman of Asquare Inc and president of the IIT-Kanpur Foundation.

Speaking about the victory party at his home, Himanshu Batra said, “The credit for the victory goes to the energetic young people.”
When asked what was different about this victory compared to 2013’s results, he said, “The difference, this year, is that the group has grown in size and maturity; it was better organised and more prepared. Also the ‘Delhi Dialogue’ rolled out by the AAP was a master stroke with detailed plans. With a clear majority, they are free to implement changes and make a real difference.”
Parwaz Virk, another AAP supporter in California told Rediff.com that just like the previous Delhi elections AAP’s US chapters had adopted constituencies, with the California team adopting the Jangpura constituency, the Atlanta team adopting Mangolpuri, Chicago adopted Kirari, New Jersey and New York adopting Babarpur, while the Washington DC team has adopted Delhi Cantonment.
Kaviraj Chopra, a R&D engineer, who has taken a leave of absence from his work to join Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, said, “I am grateful and deeply humbled. Swaraj mumkin hai.”
