Delhi Commissioner of police Neeraj Kumar, whose resignation has been demanded by Congress Member of Parliament Sandeep Dikshit and several other political parties has made it clear that he is not planning to quit.

"I am not a quitter," he said. He has been a target of attacks after 23-year-old physiotherapy student who was gangraped by six men in a moving bus while she was returning home with her friend on last Friday.

"I am not
going into what the police commissioner said. But it is fact that we have managed to arrest all the culprits in quickest possible time. I understand that the Union Home ministry is going to order setting up of fast track courts and accordingly we will move the concerned and seek its earlier and expeditious conviction of the accused persons," a senior Delhi police officer told rediff.com on Monday.
