Mansoor Asgar Peerbhoy, who allegedly wrote the terror mails ahead of serial blasts in various parts of the country, has expressed his willingness to become an approver and help the investigating agencies.

Peerbhoy, a software engineer arrested for his links with terror group Indian Mujahideen, filed an application before a MCOCA court to become an approver and also sought pardon in the case, officials said on Sunday.

Mumbai Police has been asked to file a reply by November four to his plea filed before the court through his lawyer Subhash Kanse.

Peerbhoy is alleged to be one of the main member of the 'media wing' of the terror group and was responsible for sending threatening emails prior to the Ahmedabad serial blasts on July 26 and Delhi blasts on September 13 using wireless Internet connections in Navi Mumbai and Mumbai respectively.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria also said an application had been filed by Peerbhoy.

"The application has been filed before the MCOCA court by his lawyer and we have been asked to file our say by November 4," Maria said.
