The Indian government has revised regulations to allow foreign vaccines that have received emergency use authorisation from top regulators into the country.

These are vaccines that have approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration, UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, European Medicines Agency, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, Japan, as well as those in the WHO Emergency Use Listing Procedure.

A snapshot of the vaccines that are strong contenders for India.

Of this list, Sputnik V is already approved in India and Sinovac is unlikely to come in as it does not meet the afore-mentioned criteria.
