Launching its campaign in five poll-bound states, Team Anna on Saturday sought to be even-handed by targeting the Centre, Bharatiya Janata Party, Bahujan Samaj Party for bringing a "toothless" Lokpal Bill which is like a "dead body strewn with flowers".
Addressing rallies, Arvind Kejriwal said the Centre did not want to bring Central Bureau of Investigation under the net of Lokpal and criticised political parties, including Congress and BJP, for their role in bringing a "weak" bill in Parliament.
"Be it BJP or BSP, all these parties tried to pass a weak Lokpal bill in the Lok Sabha", Kejriwal said.
He praised the Lokayukta Bill brought by BJP government in Uttarakhand and said all BJP-ruled states must follow suit.
Kejriwal asked the people to vote for candidates with clean image and reject those involved in corruption.
"We are asking the people not to vote for all those candidates who are insensitive to the issues pertaining to the common people," he said.
Kejriwal, who along with other members of the core group including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, addressed a series of rallies.
Later, Kiran Bedi joined Team Anna at Dehra Dun where the members held a separate public meeting to drum up support in favour of a strong Lokpal Bill.
Team Anna also asked the people to reject all those candidates who are involved in alleged financial bungling of Kumbh funds.
