Naxals attacked a Border Security Force camp in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh drawing retaliation from the force, police said.

Naxals attacked the camp at Udanpur in Koelibada police station jurisdiction in Kanker district late on Wednesday night but fled after an encounter that lasted for half an hour, district superintendent of police Ajay Yadav told PTI on Thursday.

They fired at the camp from a distance of 100 yards from Mendki river which flows near the camp, he said. Police and BSF have begun searching the area, the officer said, adding no BSF jawan was injured in the incident and police have not found body of any Naxal so far.
